The main purpose of the Thermal Power Plant simulator is to train and prepare operators to operate the plant with less human error by off-line operation through Simulators. Training on plant start-up and shut-down, emergency responses etc. shall be provided through Simulator.

In addition the simulator can be used as a powerful tool for engineers and plant management to verify process design and control strategies prior to start-up of a plant as well as investigation and testing of operational problems that are normally not allowable under real plant normal operating conditions.

Simulator is highly flexible and can be used in a number of different ways to suit the changing needs of the thermal power plant.
OMS power training institute provides state of the art training facility to the trainees.
