Placement wing of the training institute has established excellent placement network with number of IPP's/ MPP's/PSU's/ EPC power companies in India where the trainees will have the opportunity to get employment.
The training institute has devised a three-prong approach for providing placements to the successful trainees.

  • O&M Solutions, the promoter company has the core activities of providing operation and maintenance services to different kinds of power plants across the globe. The Company shall provide employment to successful trainees as per the need at different project sites.
  • MOU signed with Ind-Barath Energy Utkal Ltd. for placement of trained engineers from the institute at their upcoming 2x350 MW Thermal Power Plant in ORISSA.
    • Despite slow down in the job market because of recession, placement in the first batch of OMS Power Training and Research Institute have been phenomenal. More than 80% of the students got absorbed in reputed national and multinational companies with handsome pay packages. This stupendous success has made the placement efforts of OMS Power Training and Research Institute, one of the best in the power sector related finishing colleges in India.
Further, OMS being a multinational engineering service provider has number of power sector clients both at domestic as well as international level. OMS shall use this strategic strength for providing placement to the successful trainees with their clients.
  • 4th batch session for 26 weeks training programme on Thermal Power Plant will be started on 1st October 2010.
  • 2nd batch 26 Weeks training programme on Thermal Power Plant sucessfully completed.
  • OMS Power Training & Research Institute has recognition as category-I institute to provide training on Thermal, Hydro and Power Management from Central Electricity Authority (CEA) - Ministry of Power- Govt. of India.
  • 1st Batch of 26 weeks duration training in Thermal Power Plant (From Sept 2009 to March 2010) completed successfully.
  • Campus recruitment interviews were conducted for the 1st batch trainees before the completion of their training period.
  • 1st batch trainees have already got their job through campus recruitment and on job now.
  • 26 weeks training programme for 2nd batch started from 15th Feb 2010.Classroom training completed with 3.5 month duration. The trainees are undergoing practical training at IB Thermal Power Station at Present.
  • A training programme was conducted by OMS Power Training & Research Institute at IB-Thermal Power Station on the subject of “Boilers & Auxiliaries” in September 2009.
  • A training programme was conducted by OMS Power Training & Research institute at IB-Thermal Power Station on the subject of “Turbine & Auxiliaries” in January 2010.
  • Vocational Training:-
  • 1st batch of Vocational Training has been successfully completed in July 2009.
  • 2nd batch of Vocational Training has been successfully completed in August 2009.
  • 3rd batch of Vocational Training is successfully completed on 14th July 2010
  • 3rd batch of 26 Weeks training programme on Thermal Power Plant Classroom Training is Continuing
